The alloy has a high electrical resistance, therefore it is also used for the manufacture of resistance elements, spirals of electric heaters, electrothermal equipment. The increased nickel content compared to nichromes of other brands makes the material more plastic and easy to process.A common nickel-chromium alloy with improved properties, thanks to alloying additives. Steel H20N80-N – decoding of the composition: the alloy contains 20% chromium, 80% nickel. The prefix "H" at the end of the name means that zirconium Zr (0.2-0.5%) is added to the base composition of nichrome. The presence of zirconium increases the reliability and service life of nichrome parts under the influence of high temperatures. Alloy X20N80-H also contains up to 1% iron and alloying elements: manganese (0.6), titanium (0.2%), silicon (1.5%), aluminum (0.2%). The chemical composition of nichrome is regulated by the state standard: for the brand X20N80-N – GOST 10994-74. IT SHOULD NOT BREAK DOWN DURING THE MANUFACTURE OF HEATERS IN A COLD AND HOT WAY.
