. Mechanical properties, toughness and additional characteristics of rolled metal for the structures of Groups A and B must comply with the requirements of subsection 6.2 and section 7 GOST 31385
2. Carbon equivalent of steel with a yield limit σt < 390 MPa for elements of basic structures shall not exceed 0.45%. The carbon equivalent is calculated in accordance with paragraph 6.2.1.5 of GOST 31385.
3. The ratio of yield strength and time resistance σt/σv for the steels used should not
exceed in grade composition 0.75 (σt ≤ 345 MPa) and 0.80 for low alloy and normalized steel (σ/T ≤ 440 MPa).
4. For structural elements of groups A, the KCV toughness value must be determined. The test temperature shall be determined in accordance with paragraph 6.2.3.2 of GOST 31385.
5. The impact bend sheet roll tests shall be carried out on transverse samples.
Normable strength values of KCV and KCU for steel with a yield strength of 360 MPa and less
must be at least 35 J/cm² for sheet rolling.
6. Sickle effect of sheet rolled should not exceed 2 mm per 1 m length;
7. Sheet rolled should have a class of solidity 1 according to GOST 22727, uncontrolled zones should not exceed 5 mm at longitudinal edges and 10 mm at transverse edges.
8. The restriction on the content of sulfur and phosphorus should correspond to table A.1 of Annex A GOST 31385-2016.
