2. Purpose of work:
2.1. To carry out a project for the transfer of the existing technological equipment of the pitch warehouse No. 3 from steam heating to heating with a high-temperature organic heat carrier.
2.2. To optimize the existing technological scheme of the pitch warehouse No. 3.
2.3. To develop a system of digital control and management of the equipment of the pitch warehouse No. 3, which reduces the existing technological risks.

3. Project Description
3.1. Pitch warehouse No. 3 is intended for acceptance, storage, and supply of binder and impregnating pitch to production.
3.2. Coal tar pitch in liquid form is used as a binder and impregnating raw material in EPM-NEZ JSC (see Table 1).
3.3. The current technological scheme of the pitch warehouse No. 3 has equipment with heating from various sources and without heating (see Fig. 1). At present, the following are used as sources of process heat in the pitch warehouse No. 3: a centralized steam boiler house, a boiler house with a high-temperature organic coolant (HOT) SPC building 2.
3.4. Based on the design results, the following results should be obtained:
- the use of steam heating should be completely excluded;
- the technological scheme of the warehouse of pitch No. 3 should be changed, as shown in fig. 2, taking into account the already installed and used sections heated by the HOT;
- work on changing the existing technological scheme of pitch warehouse No. 3 should be divided into several logically justified stages, allowing to minimize the time of inevitable equipment downtime;
- a system of technological control and management should be developed to ensure the reduction of the role of the human factor and the elimination of existing technological risks.

4. The composition of the equipment used.
4.1. The equipment used includes: thermo tank cars, temporary storage tanks for pitch, pitch pumps, pitch cranes, pitch pipelines, a process heating system from the VOT SPC building 2 boiler house, instrumentation and a digital monitoring and control system.
4.2. JSC "EPM-NEZ" uses thermo tank cars model 15-1532 (see Fig. 3).
For equipment specifications, see table. 3.
Pitch in a thermo-tank car arrives at the pitch warehouse No. 3 in a solidified state at ambient temperature. After the installation of the thermo-tank car in the heating point of thermo-tanks, the raw materials are melted using electric heaters built into the design of the thermo-tank car and heated to a temperature of 200-220 ° C. The unloading of the thermo-tank car is carried out through one of the openings in the upper part of the boiler forcibly using a pitch pump.
In the course of the design, it is necessary to propose ways to control the amount of molten raw materials in the thermo-tank car and its temperature, suitable for further digital processing.
4.3. In the warehouse of pitch No. 3, six identical tanks for temporary storage of pitch with a volume of V = 200 m3 are mounted.
The tank for temporary storage of pitch is designed for receiving liquid raw materials entering the warehouse of pitch No. 3, short-term storage and supplying it to production.
The existing design of the tank for temporary storage of pitch, in addition to the tank itself, includes two rows of steam registers, rigidly fixed to the tank wall on one side and through movable temperature compensators on the other. Loading of raw materials is carried out by means of a pitch pipe in the upper part of the tank. Unloading - also by the baking pipes located at the bottom of the tank. In the upper part of the tank there is a ventilation device equipped with a filter for volatile pitch compounds.
The amount of raw materials in the tank is determined visually using a float measuring system. The pitch temperature is measured by a temperature sensor.
In the course of the design, it is necessary to calculate and propose the design of pitch heaters in a temporary storage tank, using BOT, and a method for installing them instead of the existing steam registers.
Depending on the consumed thermal power of thermal oil heaters, the following modes of keeping raw materials in the temporary storage tank are possible:
- minimum thermal power of the heater - short-term storage mode - raw material temperature 110-140 ° С;
- normal heat output of the preheater - mode of supply of raw materials to production
- raw material temperature 180-200 ° С;
- the maximum thermal power of the heater - the mode of heating the raw material to the temperature of supply to production - is determined by the capabilities of the heating network.
4.4. Pitch pumps are designed to move raw materials inside the pitch warehouse No. 3 and supply it to production.
Currently, in the pitch warehouse No. 3, two types of pitch pumping units are used:
- DS-125, heated by steam (see table 2);
- Fraccarolo FA / 45, heated HERE.
During design, pumps of the Fraccarolo FA / 45 type must be used. The electric drive circuit of the pump must include a frequency converter and be integrated into the automated process control system for pitch warehouse No. 3.
4.5. Pitch cranes are designed to assemble technological schemes for pumping raw materials, as well as to implement blocking algorithms and security systems.
At present, in the pitch warehouse No. 3, pitch cranes of various manufacturers are used in the version with manual control Dу100, both with steam heating and heated by BOT.
During the design, electric-driven pitch cranes with position control should be assigned. The control and management scheme for pitch cranes should be integrated into the process control system of pitch warehouse No. 3.
4.6. Baking pipes are designed to transport raw materials inside the pitch warehouse and supply it to production. A separate section of the pitch pipe is a "pipe-in-pipe" design, the inner pipe diameter is Dy100, the outer diameter is Dy157. The sections of the piping must be welded into a single structure that ensures the tightness of the raw material cavity (see Fig. 2).
4.7. Heating of the technological scheme of the pitch warehouse No. 3 should be carried out from the existing technological heating network of the SPC building 2, consisting of the boiler room VOT SPC building 2 and the system of technological heating circuits for the equipment of the SPC building 2.
Heating shirts for individual sections of the pitch warehouse No. 3 are combined with the help of "rolls" of the required diameter. Logically interconnected fragments of the technological network of pitch pipelines must be heated by their own heating circuit, which has all the elements necessary for its maintenance: supply, outlet, emergency drain, air and purge devices.
In order to supply the required thermal power, new supply lines, outlets and emergency drainage of the coolant must be laid. For a safe emergency salvo drainage of the hot coolant, it is necessary to install a single emergency drain tank with support devices that can accommodate the entire volume of the coolant of the increased heating network.
The composition of the equipment of the operating boiler house should be revised towards increasing the heating agent circulation capacity. The existing circulation pumping units of the Etanorm SIT 040-200 type should be replaced with the ENTY 100-80-200 circulation pumping units. The layout of the new pumping units is shown in Fig. 4.

5. Requirements for the process control system.
5.1 The system should be based on Siemens controllers.
5.2 All equipment must have an industrial design, with ip67 or placed in industrial cabinets with ip67. Control cabinets must be equipped with a cooling system. Equipment and sensors should be easily accessible for replacement and maintenance.
5.3 All software must be licensed and up-to-date (ex. Windows 10).
5.4 The system should display all technical parameters (motor currents, temperatures, revolutions, positions, etc.) and the states of all sensors (discrete, analog).
5.5 The system should be able to connect to it via the factory network and transfer data via OPC.
5.6 The system must have archives of measurement data in CSV format and provide storage of archives for a period of at least 3 years.

6. Terms of work.
The terms of the work performance are negotiated by the Parties additionally when concluding the contract.

7. Acceptance.
Design work is considered completed in full after the Parties have signed the Act on the acceptance of design documentation.
• The contractor presents the completed project in three copies on paper and one on electronic media.

8. Requirements for the Contractor
8.1. The contractor must have the necessary production and human resources to carry out this work, be a member of a self-regulatory organization (SRO).
8.2. To clarify the conditions for the performance of work, familiarization with the object, it is desirable that the representatives of the Contractor arrive at the Customer.
8.2 The Contractor in his commercial offer indicates the procedure for payment for work and other conditions.
