Comments:
Albazino Resources LLC invites you to take part in the tender for the production of transparent polished sections and polished sections. Perform petrographic / mineragraphic studies (descriptions) of transparent-polished thin sections and polished sections, mineralogical analysis of schlich samples, diagnostics of mineralogical differences using a scanning electron microscope.

Place of provision of services:
Territory of the Contractor.

Terms of work production:
Commencement of works: 07/01/2021
Completion of work: 09/30/2024;

Scope of work:
1. Production of transparently polished thin sections (without cover glass) and polished sections (hereinafter optical preparations) for microscopic studies of rocks and ores from geological exploration areas;
2. Petrographic / mineragraphic studies (compilation of a description) of transparent polished thin sections and polished sections;
3. Mineralogical analysis of placer samples;
4. Diagnostics of minerals using electron microscopic studies (scanning electron microscope with local X-ray spectral analysis), X-ray diffraction (X-ray diffraction) analysis, the use of a dispersive confocal Raman microscope (Raman spectrometry) for verification and accurate diagnosis of minerals when impossible by optical methods.

Approximate scope of work, acceptance and transfer of materials:
1. Approximate volume of manufactured thin sections, polished sections, samples for mineralogical analysis:
Manufacturing and brief description of thin sections of transparent-polished pcs. Per year: 400; Total: 1200.
Manufacturing and detailed description of thin sections of transparent-polished pcs. Per year: 120; General: 360.
Manufacturing and description of polished sections, pcs. Per year: 150; Total: 450.
Mineralogical analysis of placer samples pcs. Per year: 25; Total: 75.
Analytical studies of preparations using a scanning electron microscope pcs. Per year: 25; Total: 75.
* The volume of samples for research can vary within 30%.
2. Acceptance and transfer of samples for manufacturing and finished thin sections, polished sections, placer samples shall be formalized by the corresponding acts of acceptance and transfer;
3. Delivery of material for the manufacture of finished thin sections, polished sections, and concentrate samples to the Customer to the Contractor is carried out by forces and at the expense of the Customer;
4. Samples of rocks for the manufacture of thin sections and polished sections, schlich samples are sent to the Contractor by orders (lots) in the amount determined by the current need of the Customer;
5. Responsibility for the safety and integrity of samples of rocks and ores, placer samples from the moment of receipt from the Customer and until the return to the Customer of the manufactured thin sections and polished sections is assigned to the Contractor.

Mandatory requirements for the Contractor:
• Completion of work on time;
• Confirmation of the qualifications of the engineering and technical staff - geologists: the presence of a diploma;
• Possibility to perform X-ray diffraction analysis of non-oriented bulk sample preparations and oriented clay fraction preparations;
• Possibility of making thin sections using non-luminescent glue to suppress fluorescence (luminescence) when conducting studies by Raman spectrometry;
• Perform electron microscopic studies (scanning electron microscope with local X-ray spectral analysis), X-ray structural (X-ray diffraction) analysis, use of a dispersive confocal Raman microscope (Raman spectrometry) for verification and accurate diagnostics of minerals;
• The study of surface morphology and phase inhomogeneity of the composition of the samples should be carried out using a scanning electron microscope with a resolution of not more than 30 nm in high vacuum mode and not more than 50 nm in low vacuum mode. Determination of the phase and chemical composition is carried out with an energy dispersive microanalyzer with a resolution of at least 133 eV. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of minerals is performed in various shooting modes: in high vacuum mode for prepared specimens (thin sections, polished sections), or in low vacuum mode (using an LVSTD detector) for individual non-conductive grains sampled mechanically. The result of the study of the surface microtexture and morphostructural features of minerals, their grains and aggregates should be a series of at least two images with a resolution of at least 1024 × 1024 pixels. (each in two types of contrasts: topo-contrast and phase contrast), providing a progressive change in magnification. The first image shows the position of the detail area, the second shows the position of the detail area. For individual images of maximum magnification (above 30,000), images in topocontrast with a resolution of 576 × 576 pixels or more are allowed. The analysis of each sample is accompanied by four or more images with phase contrast (in a backscattered electron detector) at minimum magnifications with a resolution of at least 2048 × 2048 pixels. Detailed images are taken in two modes: secondary and backscattered (reflected) electrons, with the local EMF analysis spectra indicated on a separate image. For each pair of images, the elemental composition of minerals and aggregates is determined at at least three points. The accelerating voltage for SEM recording and analysis is selected in the range of no more than 5 and no less than 20 kV with the probe current intensity within no more than 4 and no less than 12.5 nA. Local X-ray spectral analysis should be carried out with preliminary calibration of the probe intensity (11.4-11.5 nA) against a standard sample at a working (focal) distance of 15 mm. SEM photos will be accumulated for two main detectors: secondary electrons (SE - secondary electrons) and backscattered electrons (BSE - backscattered electrons). The images obtained with the SE detector reflect the contrast of the surface relief and its morphology (or topo-contrast), the images with the BSE detector reflect the contrast of the surface composition (or phase contrast).
• Ability to scan a sample to a depth of at least 100 microns with a step of not more than 1 micron;
• The step of moving the stage is no more than 1 micron;
• Equipping the device with lasers with wavelengths of 532 nm and 785 nm;
• The presence of a lens with a magnification of at least 100x;
• Possibility of obtaining high-resolution spectra in the range of at least 50-1900cm-1.

Occupational health and safety requirements:
When performing work, the contractor undertakes to comply with the safety regulations, industrial sanitation, labor protection, fire safety stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation, conduct labor protection briefings for workers involved in the performance of work, properly draw up labor protection documentation throughout the entire period of work, up to delivery of the results of work to the Customer in full.
The Contractor is responsible for compliance with the requirements: regulatory legal acts in the field of labor protection, fire safety, environmental protection, when performing work under the Contract by the Contractor's employees, and for taking appropriate measures to ensure them.
